DOT Intel honors deletion requests from any user, in any jurisdiction. You don't need to give a reason. We'd be sad to see you go, but this page exists so the door is always open.
The process
How to request
Email data-deletion@dotintel.io from the email address associated with your DOT Intel account. That identity check is the only proof of identity we need — no document uploads, no security questions.
A subject line of "Delete my DOT Intel data" is enough; the body can be blank. If you have multiple accounts (e.g. one for a side gig), tell us in the body which one(s) to delete.
We respond within 5 business days to confirm receipt and start the purge. Your data is gone within 30 days of that confirmation. You'll get a final email when the purge is complete.

What we retain (by law)
A small carve-out — these are legally required retentions we can't purge even on request. They contain transaction metadata, not card data or behavioral data.
Stripe payment records
7-year retention per US tax law (IRC §6001 / IRS recordkeeping requirements). Contains transaction reference IDs + amounts + dates. No card numbers.
Aggregate anonymized analytics
Page-view + Core-Web-Vitals counts at Vercel. Not joined to your account; cannot be re-identified.
Server logs
Standard request logs at Vercel + Supabase; 30–90 day natural rolloff. We don't manually retain these past the rolloff.
If you live in a jurisdiction with stronger deletion rights (e.g. EU / California), tell us in your request and we'll comply with your local law within the carve-outs above.
Yours to keep
What about CSVs you already exported?
Once you export an unlocked record (CSV download, PDF report, clipboard copy), it's on your machine — we have no way to reach into your systems and erase it. That data is yours to use under the terms in effect at export time (see Terms of Service).
If a regulator later requires us to invalidate exported data, we would email you with explicit instructions. We don't expect this to happen.
Identity check
How we verify it's you
Email-from-account-address is the standard.If you email us from the address on your account, that's sufficient proof — you control that mailbox, you control that account.
If you've lost access to the account email (changed jobs, domain expired, etc.), email anyway and explain the situation. We'll work with you — typically by asking you to confirm a recent transaction date + an old session timestamp + some prior login activity. If we can't verify identity safely, we will refuse the request to protect the actual account owner. You'll get a clear reason if we have to refuse.
Coming back
Can I sign up again after deletion?
Yes. After your deletion is complete, you can create a new account with the same email address. It will be a clean start — no history, no watchlists, no credit balance carried over.
If you had unused credits at deletion, they are forfeited per the Terms (credit packs are prepaid + non-refundable). If that's a dealbreaker, consider pausing your usage instead — just don't log in for a while. Your account stays put.
